MANUAL THINKING WORKSHOP & PROJECT FORMATS

The participative and hands-on use of our tools are great for enhancing the creative capacity and engagement of your team. Want to find out how it works? In our basic training workshops you can learn all the essential uses, benefits and work philosophy of Manual Thinking. In courses from 2-4 hours, our experienced facilitators guide you through a didactic-practical work session. The workshop programme is packed with all the necessary information and exercises to learn how to implement Manual Thinking in your school, company or institution.

Face to face and online workshops.

The basic training workshops are usually held for groups of 12-18 participants. They can be carried out in a face to face format or through a video connection, in which case we send the necessary material beforehand to all the participants..

In our Expert Workshops we have teamed up with several experienced facilitators to design various workflows of specialized methodology. With these workshop you can learn how to approach specific fields of expertise with the familiar use of our tools. With themes such as Design ThinkingBusiness Design and Sustainable Strategy, the expert workshops are an in-depth follow up after our basic training workshops. A great opportunity for learning different kinds of methodology in a hands-on manner!

Manual Thinking has originated in the product design studio of Luki Huber, as a solution allowing to involve and align the teams of our clients in the development of new products. Today still, our passion is to apply our tools and its participative work procedure in the creation of new solutions, whether in form of products, services or strategies.

Depending on the needs of our clients, we plan a customized project containing different work sessions and/or phases combined with a selection of methodology that will help us to resolve the objectives in an integral manner. Whatever the goal is, the creative potential Manual Thinking offers is a guarantee for finding innovative and functional solutions.

The tool allows to involve and align all different actors of the project: the clients´ team, potential users, producers, providers and specialists. In this light, we also count on our network of expertise teachers to give support in areas such as business strategy, sustainability, marketing & communication, branding and human resources.

Luki Huber

Creator Of Manual Thinking

Luki Huber, the product designer who worked for 6 years with Ferrán Adria in the workshop of El Bulli, 5 times rated “#1 Restaurant in the World” by the prestigious San Pelegrino Award.  El Bulli served 35 course, multi-sensory meals with many of the dishes served in unique, custom-designed plates, bowls, and glasses or with original utensils and implements created by Luki.  They added a wow factor, made each course even more special and fun to eat, and were irresistably “Instagramable”.

Swiss-born Luki Huber was trained at the Lucerne School of Art and Design and at the Escola Massana in Barcelona. Based in Spain since 1994, he has established regular collaborations with firms such as Cerabella, Lékué and El Bulli. From 2004-2010 he was a product design lecturer at EINA, Centre Universitari de Disseny i Art in Barcelona. From his studio in the Catalan city, set up as a collaborative space that explores new methodologies in creative teamwork, he created a unique process-mapping tool called Manual Thinking that was commercialized in 2012.
